Katelyn Eash, Hudson, achieved supreme grand champion dairy milk after 10 years in 4-H. This year was her first and last win with a cow. Eash showed a 3-year-old Jersey cow bred on her family farm and "prayed she'd walk like a baby," she said. Eash also won the Miss Congeniality pageant at the LaGrange County 4-H Fair in LaGrange.

Eash exhibited her grand champion dairy milk and received a total of $3,990 from her buyer's group (see list below). Of this, $3,775 came from Eric Perkins, Stroh Farm Supply; Kevin and Brittany Eash; Mark Howe; and Kenny Wright, Farmers State Bank.

A total of 197 lots sold at the LaGrange 4-H auction last Saturday, earning $290,597. Last year, 191 lots sold for $258,722. LaGrange's premium-style auction supports the efforts of each 4-H'er without requiring them to sell their animals. All animals mentioned below were not necessarily sold as a result.

The grand champion dairy beef steer was exhibited by Olivia Zook of Wolcottville. Olivia received $2,910 from a support group (see list).

The reserve champion dairy beef was shown by Kiana Mast of LaGrange. She received $1,775 from a support group (see list).

Hadleigh Bontreger, LaGrange, showed the grand champion starter calf and earned $2,175 from supporters (see list). Her brother, Harrison, showed the reserve champion starter calf and received $2,295 in sales from a buyer group.

Katie Miller, Shipshewana, received $4,675 from buyers (see list) and exhibited the grand champion Boer market wether. The reserve champion Boer market wether was exhibited by Kinley Yoder of LaGrange. She received $2,290 from a buyer support group (see list) for her animal.

Audrianna Martin, LaGrange, showed the grand and reserve champion market lambs. She received $6,000 from over 30 different buyers (see list).

Ashley Young of Wolcottville exhibited the grand champion meat duck. She received $825 from Stroh Farm Supply, Noble County Disposal, Lynn Tracey, South Milford Grain Co., Pfafman Brothers, LaGrange County Community Foundation, Mark Howe, Harmony Farms, Hanaway Haven/Jason and Stacy Hanaway, Farmers State Bank, Zook's Farm Service/Travis and Sarah Zook and Lutes Flying Service.

The grand champion meat turkey was exhibited by Noah Owsley of LaGrange. He received $500 from K Bar S Express, Rand A Body Shop, Brad Miller, LaGrange County Community Foundation, South Milford Grain Co., Hanaway Haven/Jason and Stacy Hanaway, Mylana Fought, Matt and Kara Dunker and Lutes Flying Service.

Keenan Hanaway, Wolcottville, showed the grand champion meat goose, reserve champion meat duck and the reserve champion meat turkey. He received $930 for his efforts from a group of buyers (see list).

Whitney Meyers of LaGrange exhibited the grand champion meat chickens. She gained a profit of $1,275 from Hostetler and Young Insurance Agency, LaGrange County Community Foundation, Hartman Family, Lutes Flying Service, Chad and Angie Neff family, Shipshewana Auction Inc., Jon and Donna Slone, South Milford Grain Co, Sturgis Bank and Trust and Wana Feed Service.

Blythe Beeman showed her grand champion market hog, and buyers (see list) gave a total of $4,555. Beeman is from Churubusco. The reserve champion market hog was exhibited by Ryleigh Weimer of Shipshewana. She received $3,700 from a group of buyers (see list).

The grand champion beef steer was shown by Wyatt Howe of Wolcottville. He gained $2,650 from a support group (see list).

Courtney Hall of LaGrange brought the reserve champion beef steer. She was rewarded for her efforts with $2,175 from CKS Farms LLC., Farmers Mutual Rescue of LaGrange County, Green Show Cattle, Hillside Feed Lots Inc., Roy Howe family, Interra Credit Union, K Bar S Express, LaGrange County Community Foundation, Long Lane Farms, Lutes Flying Service, Chad and Angie Neff family, South Milford Grain Co., Troyer Saddlery Inc., Wana Feed Service and Wana RV Center.

Collin Martin, Shipshewana, showed the grand champion milk goat.
